South Texas Health System ER Pharr opened in October 2024. It serves the Pharr, south Edinburg and east McAllen areas by providing emergency care 24/7, unlike most urgent care centers and clinics that are open just eight to 16 hours per day. The ER is staffed with emergency room nurses and board-certified doctors, and equipped with the same diagnostic technology available in South Texas Health System’s emergency rooms attached to hospitals.

Emergency services
STHS ER Pharr provides 24/7 emergency care to infants, children and adults. Treatment is available for a wide range of emergency medical conditions, including:
- Chest pain
- Stroke
- Broken bones
- Minor lacerations
- Flu and other ailments
Outpatient services
We will also provide outpatient, imaging and laboratory services at our facility. Appointments will be available on a same-day, walk-in basis, so you can get test results more quickly.
