To share hope during this pandemic, South Texas Health System McAllen and South Texas Health System Edinburg invited local first responders for a flag-raising amidst lights, sirens and the singing of the National Anthem.
The events showcased the unity between patients, staff and first responders to get past these trying times. Fire trucks and other first response vehicles parked in the front lot of the hospital and the American flag was raised by an engine ladder. Patients were able to view the action from their windows.
